GPSMAP 695 Handheld

With features that focus on aviation-only navigation and mapping,

GPSMAP 695 is Garmin’s ultimate portable MFD. Similar to the 696, the GPSMAP 695 comes with a large screen and detailed electronic charts — minus XM compatibility — at a price you’ll love.

See the Big Picture
The GPSMAP 695’s bright 7-inch diagonal high-definition sunlight-readable display makes detailed mapping easy to see day or night — you can even view an entire approach plate on the large-format display. For easy operation, the bezel around the screen includes soft keys and a joystick control. And with a fast 5 Hz GPS update rate, the 695 renders graphics and presents flight data smoothly and continuously.

No Chart? No Problem.
With the addition of Garmin FliteCharts®? and IFR map mode, the GPSMAP 695 has Class 1/Class 2 electronic flight bag (EFB) capability, reducing the use of paper charts in the cockpit. With FliteCharts, you can quickly find and view all U.S. NACO departure procedures (DP), standard terminal arrival routes (STARs), approach charts and airport diagrams. If the current approach is known, GPSMAP 695 automatically selects the correct chart based on the flight plan. When in IFR map mode, the 695 can display victor airways, jet routes, minimum enroute altitude and leg distance, much like found on paper enroute charts.

Enhance Situational Awareness
The GPSMAP 695 features a high-resolution terrain page showing hazards relative to your altitude and a vertical profile of terrain along your route of flight. It comes with a built-in Jeppesen database, and an Americas, Atlantic or Pacific terrain database. It also includes an obstacles database for the U.S. or Europe. Using this information, the 695 displays your flight route over contour terrain mapping. With information from the terrain and obstacles databases, the 695 monitors your current position in relation to surrounding terrain to provide alerts. You can even customize your own minimum clearance levels to receive terrain cautions. The 695 also comes with a realistic “view from space” satellite imagery basemap.

Like other portable Garmin devices, the 695 includes the following enhanced aviation databases:
• Garmin SafeTaxi®
Provides detailed taxiway diagrams and position information for over 850 U.S. airports. Preloaded on the unit, this information helps you navigate unfamiliar airports with confidence and shows your aircraft’s exact position on the field.
• AOPA Airport Directory
Offers detailed information for over 5,300 U.S. airports, along with the names and phone numbers of thousands of FBOs. Easily look up taxi services, plan an overnight, and choose fuel stops, plus find ground transportation, lodging, restaurants, local attractions and more.
• Private Airports and Heliports
Provides data on private airports and heliports throughout U.S. and Europe, and materially expands your list of navigation and emergency "nearest" options.
Receive Altitude-Sensitive Alerts
When in the air, Garmin’s new Smart Airspace™ feature makes it easier than ever to identify what airspace lies ahead. Smart Airspace automatically highlights airspace close to your current altitude and de-emphasizes airspace away from the current altitude, which gives you increased situational awareness.

Expand Your Portable
The GPSMAP 695 includes an SD card slot for extra memory and updates. Keep track of the databases on your GPSMAP 695 through www.fly.garmin.com, our online manager that helps you update, manage and purchase the latest aviation data for your Garmin device, all in one place.
?A single update of FliteCharts comes preloaded on the unit. FliteCharts will automatically disable when the data is over six (6) months out-of-date (six month period to commence when map is loaded in the factory). Each box will contain a certificate for one free current FliteCharts download. After the six month period, you must purchase a subscription for continuous FliteCharts chart availability.

It includes the names and phone numbers of thousands of FBOs, plus ground transportation, lodging, restaurants, local attractions and more.
Receive Altitude-Sensitive Alerts
When in the air, Garmin’s Smart Airspace feature makes it easier than ever to identify what airspace lies ahead. Smart Airspace automatically highlights airspace close to your current altitude and de-emphasizes airspace well above or below your altitude, which gives you increased situational awareness.
Enjoy Faster Update Rate
For added realism and safety, the 495 updates map data and "Panel" page instruments at 5 Hz, a significantly faster update rate that gives you a smoother, near “real-time” presentation of your aircraft’s analog indicators, such as the HSI and turn coordinator.
Enhance Situational Awareness
GPSMAP 495 features a built-in Jeppesen database and an Americas, Atlantic or Pacific terrain database. It also includes an obstacles database for the U.S. or Europe. Using this information, the 495 displays your flight route over contour terrain mapping. The higher-resolution terrain database includes over ten times as much data as the 296’s for even more visual reference. With information from the terrain and obstacles databases, the 495 monitors your current position in relation to surrounding terrain to provide alerts. Even customize your own minimum clearance levels to receive terrain cautions. The addition of private airports and heliports to the database provides even more navigation and emergency "nearest" options. Add a Garmin Mode S transponder, and the 495 will display TIS traffic alerts that identify surrounding air traffic.
Navigate by Air, Land or Sea
Simply press a button to switch GPSMAP 495 to automotive or marine mode. The 495 comes with a built-in routable basemap. Add optional MapSource® City Navigator® detailed street maps to receive voice-prompted turn-by-turn directions to addresses and points of interest. For a great day on the water, customize the waterproof 495 with optional BlueChart® marine cartography.

G600 Panel Mount

At last, retrofit glass is now within your grasp. Upgrade your avionics panel to the G600 and start reaping the benefits of enhanced situational awareness, safety and pilot workload reduction. This affordable glass system combines a primary flight display (PFD) and multi-function (MFD) display in one 10-inch wide bezel — dramatically simplifying the cockpit.

Scan Flight Data on Dual Screens
G600 combines critical flight data and displays it on two 6.5 inch diagonal flat-panel LCDs. These high resolutions screens are mounted side by side in a single bezel that fits neatly into the “six-pack” slot in your instrument panel. They feature brilliant color and advanced backlighting, so you can view images in sharper detail — even in direct sunlight.
On the left-hand side, the PFD seamlessly integrates all situational information regarding your aircraft’s position, speed, attitude, vertical rate, altitude, steering and flight progress. On the right side, the MFD provides detailed moving-map graphics of your aircraft’s current position in relation to ground features, chart data, navaids, flight plan routings and more.

Enjoy Advanced AHRS
G600 replaces traditional mechanical gyroscopic flight instruments with Garmin’s super reliable GRS77 Attitude and Heading Reference System (AHRS). AHRS provides an accurate, digital output and referencing of your aircraft position, rate, vector and acceleration data. It’s even able to restart and properly reference itself while your aircraft is moving.

Enhance Situational Awareness
G600 seamlessly integrates built-in terrain and navigation databases, providing a clear, concise picture of where you are and where you’re heading. Using information from the built-in terrain and U.S. obstacles databases, G600 displays color coding to graphically alert you when proximity conflicts loom ahead. In addition, you can augment G600 with optional Class-B Terrain Awareness and Warning System (TAWS) for an extra margin of safety in the air. A detailed Jeppesen® database is used to depict airways, navaids, airspace, airports and more. For safer arrivals and departures, optional ChartView™ — available through Jeppesen’s JeppView™ subscription service — lets you overlay your aircraft’s position on the electronic approach chart to provide a visual crosscheck. On the ground, view your position on taxiways with SafeTaxi®, a built-in database of over 850 U.S. airport diagrams.

Add Weather and Traffic
Make informed decisions based on weather and traffic with optional sensors and services. With an subscription to XM WX Satellite Weather™ and the addition of the GDL 69 or 69A data link receiver, you’ll have access to up-to-the-minute, high resolution weather information for the U.S., right in the cockpit. Weather information includes NEXRAD, METARs, TAFs, Lightning and more and can be laid directly over Jeppesen and topographic map databases. With an additional monthly service fee, GDL 69A delivers XM Satellite Radio to your aircraft. Add a Garmin Mode S transponder, and G600 will also display Traffic Information Services (TIS) alerts that identify surrounding air traffic.
